Privacy Notice
Kılıçoğlu Law Firm (the "Firm"), acting as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), processes your personal data as described below.
1. Data we process
Identity data (name, national ID number), contact data (phone, email, address), legal transaction data (case files, powers of attorney), financial data (invoicing and payment details) and transaction security data generated when you visit our website (IP address, cookie records).
2. Purposes and legal bases
Your data is processed to provide legal services and perform the engagement (KVKK art. 5/2-c, performance of a contract), to fulfil obligations under the Attorneys' Act and related legislation (art. 5/2-ç), to establish and pursue legal claims (art. 5/2-e) and, within the Firm's legitimate interests, to communicate with you and maintain service quality (art. 5/2-f). Requests sent via the contact form are used solely to respond to you.
3. Transfers
To the extent required by the legal service, your data may be shared with courts, enforcement offices, mediation bureaus, notaries, relevant public authorities and our IT infrastructure providers, in accordance with KVKK arts. 8 and 9.
4. Retention
Data is retained for the limitation periods set out in the Attorneys' Act and the Turkish Code of Obligations following the end of the engagement; contact form data is kept for no more than 2 years after the request is resolved.
5. Your rights
Under KVKK art. 11 you may learn whether your data is processed, request information, learn the purpose of processing, know the third parties to whom it is transferred, request rectification, erasure or destruction, object to results produced by automated analysis and claim compensation for damage.
